The case we are discussing here is regarding Shermans v. Church of Divine Light. Shermans have suited legal allegations against the Church of Divine Lights. They demand to seek all the damages which have been brought to their son. They also seek to be compensated for the medical expenses incurred in getting their child way from the church.

Introduction

According to the case, Mr and Mrs Rob Sherman wished to bring legal actions of the Church of Divine Lights. They want to sue for tort against the Church. The Shermans want to bring legal actions against the Church on behalf of their son against the torts which was committed against them.

Facts

The parents have forwarded the case stating that Rob Jr was trapped in attending the meeting. One night year ago, Rob Jr was returning home after youth meeting. The organizer of the youth event Tom Marsden made excuses in order to keep Rob there. The peak of the case was when Tom told Rob Jr, "If you leave, you will be thrown into the eternal fires of Hell, and you will not be allowed back." Rob Jr agreed to his statement and remained in the church due to his statement which he gave. Next day Tom asked Rob Jr to write a letter to his parents by informing that he wanted to remain in the church as he considered it as his new family.
