Social-Physical Environment and their Affect on Personality Development of Adolescents

Introduction

Adolescence is a very crucial stage of development when it comes to children. This development takes place not only in the physical appearance but also in the personality of the child.

Personality may be defined as the unique characteristics of a person in terms of behavior, thinking pattern and feelings. These behaviors are consistent although changes may occur due to the various factors that have the power to influence personality. Adolescents who belong to poor socio economic class live in poor life conditions and do not have as good access to resources as their other well to do mates. Hence, they face more problems. The education level of the mother is also one of the key determinant factors of the nature, attitude and personality of the child which is a reflection of the mother's personality.
