Population

It is estimated that the population of the United States will increase to 438 million in the next 40 years. Following are certain social, economical and environmental impact of this increase in population. Population growth requires increased infrastructure: transport, energy, waste disposal system. More people require more services from police protection to health care. When resources are insufficient for the population (or when the population grows faster than our ability to provide services and resources) resources become scarce. The population of Hartford lives 7,025 people per square mile. Hartford is among the top five populated states of Connecticut. The population of Hartford, Connecticut on October 13th 2011 is approximately 142,157. (Extrapolated from Hartford County, CT populations of 857,183 on May 24th 2008 and 894,014 on March 11th 2011, and a Hartford, Connecticut population of 121,578 in 2000) (Jones, Carol, 2005).

Although the population of Hartford grows at an unhurried pace, yet there is a high proportion of families and Hispanics in the state. The population requiring the educational attainment is below the normal range. Population demanding median income is increasing at a growing rate. At present, the median income population is slow. Manufacturing and agriculture play an important role in the sector. The demands for home and education are low because the regional poverty is high. This makes the rate for educational attainment and home ownership rate lower than in the trade area.
