Southeast Asia

Introduction

With reference to the history of Asia, it is the largest and most populous Continent, with about 44 million km 2 accounting for 8.65% of total land area and 29.45% of land area, and with its 4 000 million, 60% of the human population. In the conventional division of continents, from Europe, Asia and Europe appear to be two different cultural and historical reasons. In geographical terms, are actually a single continent called Eurasia.

Southeast Asia

I found this through the history research that Southeast Asia is a sub-region of Asia located in the south of China and that of India. Usually considered part of the Far East and have each unit some cultural and historical. This region is located between the meridians 90 and 130 east about and between latitudes 7 and 30 north, and comprises two divisions: the Indo-China (mainland) and the Malay Archipelago (island portion).

Despite the rapid growth experienced with economic liberalization, this failed when the region crashed spectacularly in the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. Currently, countries are organized into the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) that includes all the countries of the region, except East Timor

The History told me about the names denoted to Southeast Asia The term "Southeast Asia" is translated directly from English, from the South East Asia Command in World War two, and postcolonial designation of the territories known as Indochina (Southeast Asian mainland) and East Indian (Southeast Asian islands or Malay Archipelago). Typically includes the countries listed below to which sometimes are added Papua New Guinea (part of Oceania) and Taiwan (part of East Asia).

The following section tries to show the interactions, collisions, and sequences of these civilizations from a continental perspective. On those territories, in the history sections on the various Asian countries are the cultural side of Asia Minor, Assyria, Babylon, the Indus Valley Civilization, the Middle East, Persia, Siberia, and Sumer. We can also highlight the ancient civilizations that arose, as in Mesopotamia, the Indian civilizations, the origins of Chinese civilization.

After the establishment of the Achaemenid Persian Empire (550-330 BC approximately), which extended the Persian culture from the Mediterranean to the Indus River. Besides the very beginning of colonial rule of the great European powers, such as exploration and colonization carried out first by Spain and Portugal , as the arrival of Ferdinand Magellan in 1521 who discovered the eastern Asian continent later followed by Juan Sebastian Elcano , and later colonized by France , Great Britain , Netherlands and Russia . After reaching independence of colonized countries of their former metropolis by adopting a response to imperialism itself in each country, Asia would maintain their independence, the emergence ...
