Introduction

Toyota has been continuously denying problems that are associated with the throttle system control on their vehicles regardless of numerous investigations by the government on the safety issues with their vehicles. Many newspapers reported against the sudden acceleration problems which has been impacting on the Toyota sales and affecting the popular car status. It has turn from discounting early reports of problems to over confidently announcing diagnoses and insufficient fixes. However, around 37,900 reports of customer claim regarding the unintended acceleration, speed control and surging problems have been searched and discovered across many models (www.quality-control).

Discussion and Analysis

The marketing strategy of Toyota was very strong. The only problem was that the target range of Prius was limited. The first generation was simple and did not contain all the benefits and gadgets that the vehicles of that time were having.

On the other hand, the second generation came up with number of changes, particularly with the advancement in technology. It was more comfortable and luxurious. By bringing the second generation to the market Toyota covered the flaws of its marketing strategy and came up with powerful strategy.

Internal Analysis of Toyota Company

In 2002, Toyota vehicles comprises of throttle system, also including those cars that Toyota has not recalled, which is relied on microprocessors, sensors and electronic motors as a substitute of a mechanical linkage in order for the connection of accelerator pedal to the throttle plate engine.

Similarly, earlier Toyota vehicles production to 2010 was not manufactures with a system of brake override which is known, as brake-to-idle override, in order to stop unintended acceleration. Brake-to-idle override facilitates drivers to override the electronic throttle and control the vehicle in the event of a sudden unintended acceleration. This was the safety characteristic that has been utilized by other manufacturer of automobiles. Toyota failed in the integration of the system of brake overrides, which play a major role in the protection of the dead and major injuries of the citizens across America and other parts of the world (Ramsey, 2011).

The Business Strategy

Manufacturers to produce product evaluation are reflected in the dealer sales company. Companies are changing in a complex environment, with limited human resources with limited capacity. However, a company without a business strategy and economic efficiency, would be unable to serves the purpose of achieving the better result. It is the law as a consistent direction, rather than business strategy.

Toyota became the mover of the auto maker industry by introducing the hybrid systems. The brand was not that pretty but was the first of its kind in terms of technology; this quality attracted customers and held the focus of the customers on Prius.
