Student service v. Student learning

While service learning is a tool as old as the youth ministry itself has only been recently identified as separate from community service. I think one of the main reasons is the emergence of community service as punishment for a court order for those who violate the law. Adolescents who are trying to keep the straight and narrow will not do what you think others are associated with criminals. Service learning also sounds more positive than most parents.

So what's the difference? Service-learning covers only what it says - learning through providing a service to others. Service-learning can be incorporated into social classes, biblical teachings, or job skill training. Community service is doing a good deed for the community called "home." So what's the difference?

Service-learning involves a lesson that led to the project by the project, and then reflect on their learning after the project is finished. c .

When Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, we must also reinforce the importance of service to other children with whom we work. I think that both service learning and community service have a place in our ministries, although I naturally tend to turn all experiences into teachable moments.

According to the Fifth National Survey on Academic Advising ACT (1997), across all institutions, academics (head and assistant) outnumber the reporting lines of Student Affairs (main and auxiliary) for more than two one (42% to 18%).
