Suicide is intentional self-inflicted actions that end in death ('Suicide,' Compton's). After the series of traumatic events, usual contending abilities can be shoved over edge; result may be suicide. In each year, the mean of 30,000 suicide deaths occurs in joined States. It is estimated that 5,000 of those suicides are committed by teenagers (SAVE, 2). One foremost cause that suicide rate amidst teenagers is so high is that teenage years are the period of commotion. New social functions are being learned, new connections are being developed, whole body alterations are occurring, and conclusions about future are being made throughout teenage years.

Teenage suicide is one of main issues that mental health professionals should deal with it. Among teenagers and young adults? those 15 to 24? suicide is one of three leading causes of death. In addition? self-destructive behaviors of young people? including so-called "suicide gestures?" constitute the substantial health issue closely related to adolescent suicide. For that reason? counselors and other professionals continue to seek theoretical explanations of teenage suicide that will assist in identifying and treating those most at risk. Unfortunately? beyond pointing to turbulence of our society and to decline of modeling theory. Research has been slow in establishing causes of adolescent suicide (Mazur 1997). Most experts agree that rising rate of suicide among young people reflects? to the greater or lesser extent? the general failure of society to accommodate difficulties of adolescence.

The concept of youth committing suicide mystifies our societal logic. We do not realize causes why youth -normally associated with energy, conclusion and possibilities- turn to such the final proceed as the solution. Suicide finally goes into all of our lives, either indirectly or directly. However, position becomes more cruel and unjust when the youth commits suicide. We will not help but think of opportunities and potential lost so swiftly for one so young.

Although adolescent suicide is the current crisis in Canadian company of today, youth for all of history and in all cultures resorted to this final form of self-destruction. Clearly we have and always had the dilemma of teenager needing desperate attention. The United States and Canada are currently in the crisis situation of suicide of youth. Our suicides rates are in top that of United States as well as of other favorable countries. For example, in old young men fifteen to nineteen, suicide rate is 60 percent more top than in United States.

Avoidance and Modeling Theories

Psychological theories characteristically stress cognitive construction of gender inventions and manners of behavior all over ancestral transmission model. This form was accorded special prominence mostly as the legacy of Freud's focus on adoption of gender functions within family through method of identification. Behaviorist theories also have accorded prominence to parents in shaping and regulating gender-linked conduct.
