Introduction

Supervisory management is the process whereby employees of a business are being managed. Even in school, colleges, various business schools five certificates after providing training in the field of supervisory management. The training covers small, large groups as well as working companies, whereby they teach various procedures with respect to supervisory management. The aim of this to recruit suitable employees with respect to the companies demands.

Fields that come under the umbrella of supervisory management are review growth, have meetings, hire or fire employees as well as placing bonuses.

Discussion

For every organization, be it small, large or medium any businesses it is essential to have a supervisory management system. This is because supervisory management is the key catalyst in facilitating the performance of a company.

With respect to me being supervisor in small business pizzeria that is family owned there are numerous tasks that I need to undertake. The prime challenge I have to deal with is having good communication skills.

This includes managing the team assigned well and being able to communicate well with them. This is important as earlier this small business was facing a lot of issues including lower productivity of workers, workers resigning etc. These problems have arisen due to lack of co-ordination as well as communication with the workers.

To cater to this challenge I as a supervisor need to take more training were I am lacking as a team leader. This training is considered very important as I will be able to enhance my leadership skill as well as is an essential ingredient towards the success of my business.

Countering this challenge is essential. This is mainly due to the fact if I am effective here, and then the company goes through the path of growth and reaps benefits in future.

Another challenge that I have to combat is the lack of proper HR department. Employees were hired by not properly evaluating their skill. For a small business even every loss or cost can destroy their business and such is the case with my business.

Lack of proper HR affected the productivity of the company adversely. Profits of my business declined severely.

Another issue that arose because of lack of proper HR includes loss of clients and customers. This is because customers, client are strongly related to the success and existence of my business.

I as a supervisor has to now elect such employees that possess the skills my business need most. This involves me to undertaking a process of selection, recruiting and firing of employees. This by in itself is a huge burden and task on me as this decision will determine the future performance of my business.

Another strategy to tackle this challenge is to deal with staff that is under performing in their work. This encompasses strategies involved in making proper conversation with the employees.
