Introduction

The period of history i.e. American History to 1877 is a very interesting period in that there are many important events that took place during this period. To me, the most interesting is the American Revolution. Many scholars and historians have written on the American Revolution. The American Revolution lasted for the period 1775-1783. The American Revolution is a very important part of the American history not only in terms of the memories that people have of it but also in terms of the series of events that took place. The revolution is full of tales of the brave soldiers and the struggle of women who participated in the war. The revolution brought significant political changes in the US history.

The American Revolution

The European settlers that landed on the East Coast began to reshape and restructure the North American continent as per their needs. This dates back to the early 1600s. Some of their egocentric actions includes cutting down of forests for lumber, draining the wetlands to plant crops and diverting streams to power mills. The British government imposed unjust policies over the Native Americans. The Native Americans disapproved of the colonization. They were people who liked to live in harmony and peace. They were the ones who had more right over this land as they had inhabited it for a very long time. They were not only mistreated but also discriminated and downgraded. They were the prime subject of brutality.

There are certain events that caused the American Revolution. The British were unfair to the Americans in many ways. Their ill treatment was making it difficult for the Native Americans to survive.
