Some of the first settlers in British North America were English puritans? who immigrated to New England because they were oppressed in their homeland. In this new area? they could live by its principles. Most of these early immigrants settled in Massachusetts. Because of religious differences was a lot of problems. People have been repressed? and there were many allegations? and people were sentenced to death? like a witch hunt in Salem in 1692. ...
