The Four Gospels and Acts

Introduction

In this essay we have to read the Bible books Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts and record where power was released. Each of the four gospels and the book on Acts contained in the New Testament portrays a different and unique portrait and power of Jesus.

1. Existence of Power in the Gospel of Mathew

Many of Matthew's stories described how Jesus did things out of the ordinary to prove to people that he had a gift and that he was someone special. In the story, "Jesus walks on the water," Matthew told the story where Jesus went up in the mountains to pray. 1The boat which had the disciples on it had slowly drifted away from the land. Once Jesus was done with his prayer, he returned to where the boat was docked and then walked on water to reach the boat, instead of asking the disciples to return the boat to shore. This made the disciples believe in him. Jesus then made one of the disciples join him on the water. When that disciple got off the boat, he too was walking on water until he started to sink, due to the disciple not having enough faith in Jesus. This example proved two important things. Not only did this show the reader that Jesus has power, but it also showed that Jesus knows if you have faith in him.

2. Existence of Power the Gospel of Mark

The Gospel of Mark presents many important facts and significant lessons. Primarily, it obviously sets up that Jesus Christ is the Messiah that was prophesied all through the Old Testament. Subsequently, 2it shows that Jesus was the Son of God, whom He says to be by living a sinless and ideal life. Third, the Gospel accounts Jesus' miracles over natural world (calming the storm; 4:37-41, walking on water; 6:48-51, and sneering the fig tree; 11:12-14). His miracles also comprise of healing a lot of people, together with Peter's mother-in-law (1:30-31), the paralyzed man (2:3-12), the woman with bleeding (5:25-29), and the deaf mute (7:31-37). Jesus furthermore displayed miracle powers over death by raising Jairus's daughter from the dead (5:37-39).

The most imperative truth in the Gospel of Mark is the confirmation that Jesus Christ conquers the power of death from side to side His resurrection from the crypt. He proved that at hand is ...
