Computer to Enrich the Contemporary Abstract Painting

Introduction

The computer profoundly affects the way art is produced today, dissemination and assessment. Until recently, the images were created by acts of human perception through skills based on hand-eye coordination or through the lens of the copying processes such as photography, film or video where you see it is recorded through various chemical or electronic processes. Increasingly, however, the images reside only in the database of a computer, causing a rupture with the visual media of representation available to artists to create art since the Renaissance. The image is now an information structure that has no physical presence in the real world. Not only is a dematerialized image, but also one that can be changed and manipulated by a viewer-friendly. Image scanning is performed by encoding the information on light structures such as a database for later retrieval scheduled. The digital image processing can be linked to the sequences of images to create a form of "global vision" that goes far beyond conventional photography.

simulated images processed by computer or create a new visual order, a new ground for the development of the language of moving images. The order and duration of the image, the events can be manipulated, biased, repeated or done in three dimensions, by controlling functions in the event of computer video. Basically, this means that a snapshot of the event "can be subjected to the transformation almost infinite space and time, as the" image "is just an array of digital codes in a data space. Thus, any element of any image can be fully inserted into any other image.

The potential for involvement and interaction in a work of art defies the notions of a discrete work of art, which is written by the artist alone. Through an interface, an interactive artwork you can use a navigation system branching databases to create a piece of connective links and nodes. The viewer can now participate in the latest development meant the choice of directions in the work of art. Interactivity challenges the role of the artist, who now assumes a different function, similar to a system designer. The creative artist can manipulate databases full of images, text and sound, opening new avenues to art-making methods ranging interdisciplinary and collaborative ways.

In 1965, computer research in the simulation of visual phenomena had reached a significant level, particularly at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ. Here the pioneering work of Bela Julesz, ...
