Introduction

Planning ahead helps in ensuring the effective functioning of the business aspects. However, in the context of security due to changing circumstances plans cannot always prove to be helpful. With a blink of an eye anything can go wrong and the organization must be well prepared to cope up with such security concerns. This is the reason that the security professionals have to keep themselves ready to deal with any kind of unforeseen event. This essay is written with an objective to prepare a comprehensive security plan for banking environment and provide details of various aspects of security that remain of concern so as to ensure smooth running of the banking operations.

Description of the target environment

Security services and plan can serve as a framework that helps to attain the desired outcomes (Kozlay, 2007). The target environment that is selected for this essay is of an imaginary bank.

Title, purpose or function of the environment

The title of the target environment is “JA Bank”. The purpose of this target environment is to deal with the financial needs of the customers. The bank target environment performs the function of accepting deposits and making loans. The bank serves as a safe store for those who want to save their valuables and meet the needs of the borrowers by reflecting itself as a predictable loan source.

Floor plan of the target environment and Current security features in place

Bank is the floor plan of this essay's targeted environment. The bank is currently having a very basic setup. There are two security cameras and for maintaining physical security, a security guard is placed on the entrance gate. Camera placement serves as a good benefit for the security plan. These cameras are place on the front door and near operation counter so that a proper record of every entrant in bank can be easily maintained. Placing a security guard is not enough as sometimes he is the person who is involved in the robbery issues.

The inclusion of a floor design in security plan entails the layout and thus serves as a point of satisfaction for the potential customers. It saves the time and reduces the amount of stress that is faced by the customers (Barry, 2010). Like every other banking institutions, this remains the focus of JA bank. However, the bank can modify the floor plan according to the changing technology. The current floor plan of the bank is highlighted in the diagram below:
