Do We Believe The Babies Are Born Into This World Good Or Bad?

Abstract

There is an ongoing debate whether a new born baby is born pure or impure. In this connection, this study aims to answer the question about what people believe that whether the babies are born into this world good or bad. The study uses various counseling theories in the discussion to provide concrete argument to answer the question. The study concluded that people at large believes that babies are pure at the time of their birth, because they do not have intention and capability to harm anyone. Thus, they cannot be considered as impure, however, people often consider the babies of the rivals/criminals/wrongdoers as bad, by defying their own beliefs. This problem emerges because of psychological disorder; however, the problem can be solved through counseling.

Introduction

Babies are born pure because they have no idea what, where and why they were born, until they got their senses and determine their pathway. This is the common myth surrounding in every society and nearly in every religion. This paper aims to answer the question; using theory or theories of counseling; do we believe the babies are born into this world good or bad? The term bad refers to the people who violate any law ethical, social or political. If, the question would be considered under this definition of bad, it can be said that babies are born pure or good, as they mean no harm to anyone. Though, the sentence provides explicit answer of the question, but this study is not about what is right but is believed by the people.

The most common belief that is build regarding the above question is that children are born pure or good. However, sometimes this belief may vary for baby, especially baby of the opponents or rivals. People follow a belief that babies are born poor, but this belief is often not followed while mentioning the babies of criminals/wrongdoers/bad people. Consider this, if the baby of Osama Bin Laden would be brought to US to be raised as American, than the belief of the people may not be the same as to the baby of any other indigenous person of the same region. People change their belief as per their likings and disliking. This behavior of the people is also associated with this question.

How did we get here and why are we here?

The molding of the behavior depends on the environment of a person in which she/he was raised. However, a religious scholar may not consider baby of any person as bad. Mainly, what leads human to this belief is the atmosphere in which they are raised. The surroundings of a person affect his/her behavior and belief.
