Elements of international communication process

International communication process is a very wide communication process, which communicates from one country to another country with using all the communication tools. The international communication process consists of some important elements through which this process is carried out in an effective way (Swartz, 2006). The elements that an international communication process comprises of vary in context of home country and foreign country. In the home country, there is a sender, which is the firm in need to communicate its message to another country. The message can be a product or a service that the country needs to sell. In this case, its Triumph motorcycles Ltd. The home country is Britain in which the motorcycles of Triumph are manufactured. Next to that is the message, which is a promotional message that a company designs to sell its product. In the international communication process while designing a message, it is important to convert the message in a form that is understandable by the targeted audience of the foreign country. In the case of Triumph motorcycles, they have to design a promotional message for the audience they are targeting. They are situated in Britain and their language is English. This language is though accessible in different Asian countries, however to make an effective promotional campaign for the Asian market they have to convert the message in the different Asian languages. For this task, they have to look upon someone who is familiar with the local language. It can be in the form of an advertisement that has to be aired on television or a billboard message. After the message design, it is sent to the communication channel that the company is using which finally delivers it to the foreign country (Chong, 2007, pp. 615). In all this process, some factors influence the communication process. Furthermore, some external has the capability to disrupt this process as well.

Factors Influencing the process of International Communication

Language

Language is the most essential element of the international communication process. The language of a particular region is the representative of its culture and identity. It is a main source of communication and without the use of language; the international communication becomes very much incomplete. There are often many variations in language between the sender and the receiver but by using particular language, they can communicate with themselves in a best possible way. The sender and the receiver may not understand their particular language but there is always a common language, which is familiar for both a sender and the receiver. The common language in the present world is English, as it is spoken globally and everyone in the world can comprehend it (Zaharna, 2000, pp. 85-91).
