Vera Wang wedding dresses have become incredibly popular over a few months among the Hollywood stars and other celebrities worldwide (Petrillo, 2011). But Wong did not stop there and decided to expand her business. In addition to wedding dresses, Vera Wang had added score of other products in her product line like perfume, porcelain, wedding accessories and seemingly unexpected things like household products from Vera Wang.

There are various concepts of Leadership that can be applied in defining the leadership style of Vera Wang; however, transformational leadership style is the one that completely fits with Wang's methods of leading. Leadership is defined as a process of social interaction where performance outcomes are strongly influenced by the leader's ability to influence the behavior of their followers (Todd, 2007). However, transformational leadership has been variously labeled as transformational, transformative and visionary. While there are conceptual differences, such as the role played by charisma, each refers to a new view of leadership that emphasizes empowering others, pro-social use of power, creation and communication of vision, and high levels of leader self-efficacy. This view of leadership also stands in contrast to the more traditional "transactional", exchange-oriented style of leadership that has, in essence, been the subject of most leadership research prior to 1980 (Northouse, 2007).

Transformational leadership involves the motivation of employees and members to perform normal expectations for meeting the organization's mission and for achieving organizational goals. Similarly, in the pathway of establishing the fashion brand and reaching to success Vera Wong attribute her success to her employees' hard work.
