Waves, particularly those of large amplitude, contain large amounts of energy. The wave energy is stored and concentrated form of solar energy, including wind produce waves are caused by pressure differences in the atmosphere as a result of heat produced by the sun. The strong winds on the west coast of Europe make this area an ideal place to exploit the power of the waves. The technology of wave energy is relatively new and more intense investigation was in the 70's and 80 under various programs promoted by government and industry (Cruz, 2008).
