Introduction

In this research paper, I will exhibit about several cultural geographical themes, which can relate several contemporary issues that had happened in the particular country. The themes will in-return would help in relating to those issues and events. In today's modern world the significance of cultural and traditional values has gained more importance than ever. Now, the world has become a global village. Therefore, the need to retain and promote culture and tradition has augmented as well. The cultural and traditional values of a society give it an identity of its own. In past, we have observed that societies who haven't protected and extended their culture and tradition have disappeared in time.

The valid current event could be the war between the United States and Afghanistan began October 7, 2001, as a response to terrorist attacks against the United States and as part of a larger global war against terrorism, which followed to explore the recent accidental burning of the Koran by American military forces in Afghanistan and the explosive result that occurred. The themes of cultural regions, mobility and globalization could all help to better understand this event. As within the group of values ??that Afghanis could assimilate the concept of cultural values ??would be religious values, moral values, economic values, aesthetic values, intellectual values, social values, physical values, emotional values.

Nature- Culture

All acts, all events, even the most basic and most "natural" human being, born as, eating, sleeping, dying are always accompanied by rituals, ceremonies, rules and choices not biologically determined. Some 32 languages and dialects are spoken in Afghanistan. Dari is spoken most widely and has several dialects. Islam is the religion of virtually all Afghans. About 80 percent of Afghans are Sunni Muslims.

These are some of the themes that would relate in order to understand the issues and event that has occurred in the country. These themes would help in order to relate with the contemporary issues. The themes which are defined are the main element which can provide with the holistic view of the country, and thus anyone can have the better understanding of the country's background, culture, and people.

Globalization

Globalization means increased interconnectedness, the expansion and deepening of various social, economic and political, the growing interdependence of all societies together, promoted by increased financial flows, financial and communications.

Cultural Landscape

A cultural landscape, as defined in the terminology of UNESCO , a landscape representing a region of the world : "combined works of man and nature, they express a long and intimate relationship between peoples with their environment." The cultural landscape is one that the same man from one place to built with their hands, such as monuments, large and beautiful buildings. Afghanistan covers 251,827 square miles (652,230 square kilometers) of central Asia.
