The anti-virus software program that is selected for the research report is Avast, which is one of the most well known anti-virus software used all over the world. A virus is a program that introduces itself into the system altering of destroying the information in the system. Antivirus is protective software designed to detects prevents and takes action to disarm or remove the computer from different viruses and worms (Gil, n.d).Antivirus software is the software that needs to be run in the background all the time; in order to prevent computer from viruses and should be kept updated so that it can recognizes new versions of malicious software for that it can be set on the option to update automatically. There are much anti-viruses software are available on the internet for the single user personal computer like Norton, Avast, Avira (Gil, n.d).
