Introduction

During 1960s, researchers from the management side focused more on the concept of culture because it is believed that culture has a significant impact over managerial behavior and overall performance. It was observed that there were problems in the advancement of research on culture; this creates difficulties to observe clear relationship of management and culture (Lim & Firkola, 2000).

Solution to cultural problems became serious and necessary issue, when organizations used term “global village” for world (Doktor et al., 1991). As technology and economic factors integrated global network more clearly, leading managers to treat cultural differences as their native culture. Managers assumed have additional competitive advantage, those who can cater cultural differences appropriately.

In this paper, globalization, management and multiculturalism is analyzed in the context of Argentina.

Argentina is located in southeastern South America. Argentina is the eighth largest country of the world. It is largest among Spanish speaking countries and second largest country in Latin America. Argentina is categorized as middle emerging market, and it has a high rating on human development index.

Argentina ha population more than 33 million and it comprise of more than 85 percent of European descent which mainly comprises of Italian and Spanish. Rest of the population in Argentina mostly comprises of Indians, blacks and mestizos. It is now a Republic after having long time under military power.

Argentina has varied culture as it is the land of mixed ethnic groups. It is to mention here that the modern Argentina is influenced by the cultural values that are brought by European immigrants; however, there is a significant influence of Amerindian culture and African culture.

There are various languages that are spoken in Argentina, immigrants brings their cultural values to the country they move in. Therefore, it can be said that Argentina belongs to the culture that is used in Europe.
