Introduction

This paper discusses the various aspects and perspectives of Leadership in Rural Schools along with the associations or connections in content. There are various issues and challenges faced by schools in rural areas. Besides offering quality education, the school is required to make them feel part of the educational process and participants in a learning community, which can only be achieved with a participatory methodology, always under the guidance of the teacher.

The book presents the idea establishing and developing skills and attitudes of children in rural schools. Students' learning is strongly influenced by extraneous variables and intrinsic to educational organizations that affect the performance and yield rural school. Among the variables related to the action of the rural school, that higher variance seems to result in student learning are, in order of importance, the quality of teaching and leadership of the rural school. No other factor specifically rural school seems to have much effect on the results by students (Apostal, 1991).

In recent years, there have been several investigations conducted at the national and international leadership around the rural school. Initially, these studies have centered on identifying the type of leadership used in rural schools, and more recently began to question the effects of leadership on the effectiveness and improvement of rural schools. The book is rich in distinctive ideas related to students of rural schools. The students have the potential competence for leadership qualities which can be harnessed by teachers through proper educational methods.
