Behaviourism

Introduction

The term was first used by Watson in 1945, to refer the proposal for a science of behaviour of the logical positivists, or neo-positivists, who had great influence on the ideas of American behaviourists the first half of the twentieth century. Probably, and more specifically, the criticism referred to considerations of Stanley Smith Stevens, in his article Psychology and the science of science in 1939.

Methodological behaviourism SS Stevens understands the behaviour just as public responses of organisms. The issue of observability is central. Only events directly observable and replicable be admitted for treatment for a science, including a science of behaviour. This admission follows just for the sake of accessibility, i.e. it would not be a science of private events just for them to be this order, private. This view, called purely methodological behaviourism by Watson, is far from the Radical Behaviourist vision that includes private events in the scope of the behavioural sciences and interpretation as a legitimate method.

Discussion

People need 'reasons' for action, desires, dreams, goals that give meaning to your life. A depression is reached, and once arrived, we remain in it for an apathy, a reluctance, disappointment and lack of meaning in our lives that we find 'vegetative' absurd. Without motivation we are not predisposed to act, but rather the tendency is to abandon the idle, expect to feel a positive motivation, which turns into despair as far we got tired of waiting. Motivation, new illusions, how can we appear (Raina, V. 2011). The fact that they seem to be being spontaneously leads us to believe that something is 'natural', something that-if we run well, should be there as the respiratory rate or heartbeat. But the truth is that motivation is not constant and fireproof, there is sure to be there forever, and any normal person goes through moments of emptiness, and loss caused by the end stages, the wishes are carried out, and because there are many setbacks and failures (Raina, V. 2011).

In a way humans have a 'team' or set of desires, but in that basket could have a rotten apple that is dedicated to sabotaging the rest simply because it is full of bitterness and resentment for anything that has gone wrong. It's like you think that desire, if my will me wrong, none of my colleagues have also unsuccessful and thus share all worth it. Presumably, the skilled person from the point of view of knowing self-motivate, the other constructive strategy raises rather, let's get the other later, and in exchange for such collaboration can comfort better misfortune and even will be better willingness to seek alternatives and make up for what went wrong (Raina, V. 2011). Character education during childhood is very important to be good self-motivators. If educators have given us confidence in ourselves, we have instilled courage to resist the difficulties, we have been taught to tolerate the frustrations and delays in the realization of desires, to be tolerant and practical with errors, control temper and anger, and stimulated in us ...
