Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales

Introduction

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm are commonly known as the Brothers Grimm, writers of the well-known collection of fairy tales Grimm's Fairy Tales. The brothers Jacob and Wilhelm collected and recorded in writing fairy tales, loved by generations, in the early 1800s. Their tales include grisly murder and graphic details and do not always end happily (Zipes p.846). The brothers wrote the collection to preserve some of the Germanic heritage; they did not work explicitly to write a book that would function as entertainment. The tales have appeared in many editions, some of which have had the unpleasant details edited out. Their collection of stories remains influential and important to Rowling's work, which also shares stories about scary creatures in forests or omens of death. As the Grimms do with their admiration for their Germanic lineage, Rowling also pays homage to and preserves her British heritage in her works.

The Brothers Grimm began to write stories with a regular 1807 , during his travels in Hesse , continued in Westphalia . One of the first recorded by William Grimm fairy tales is Tarzan of the Virgin, which told the pharmacist's daughter Margareta WILD (Gretchen) from Kassel, a year and shared tales of her mother Mrs. Wild. My sister, Gretchen Dorothea Wild (Dorthen), the future wife of Wilhelm Grimm, told the tale Hansel and Gretel , Lady Snowstorm , table-covering.

In the first volume in 1812 are references to source only to the 12 tales. This literary anthologies XVI-XIX centuries (Zipes p.845). The second volume, and application notes occur to him, from Hesse , from Kassel , out of Hanau , from Tsverena , from the Mainskaya areas. Among the tales of experts who gave the material for the first volume, the brothers were particularly highlighted the contribution of a shepherd of sheep on the bald tops Brunsberga near Höxter and the elderly dragoon sergeant Johann Friedrich Krause in Goofe near Kassel, who bartered the history of the brothers on an old dress.
