Task 1

Introduction

The core purpose of task 1 is to help the Management of the University in the identification of those facilities that are most demanded among University Students. For the completion of this task the literature will provide a plan for data collection along with the methodology and he questionnaire.

Plan for collection of Data from students

The data for student union under such a scenario can be collected directly from students of the university using a questionnaire. The task is simple, each class representative will have to collect responses of the survey questionnaire form the students directly during a class. Since this is something new in the university, "therefore" the questionnaire should be introduced in an excited way. This will affect the response of the survey in a positive manner. The questionnaire should be designed in a way that it should appear to the students as it is a sort of fun activity for them.

The teachers of every class shall responsibly and effectively collect the survey response from the students. Now in order to make it easier, the university should design an online questionnaire that will be filled by the students during their class in front of the teacher. This will avoid any chance of answering the questionnaire in a non serious mood of students. All the data will then be simply collected and tabulated in an effective order. This practice will also help to understand the requirement of each class and also their mutually interested activities (Weiss, 2012).

Methodology & Sampling Frame

The methodology and sampling frame that will university shall use will purely base of Questioning approach of collection of primary data. In this method of data collection, the effective role is played by the participants of the data. The data is usually collected by simply designing the questionnaire. The questions of such questionnaire should be easy to read and understand by the participants. Question of the questionnaire for such a scenario should be based on closed end questions make it easy for the respondent to answer (Thomas, pp- 237-246, 2006).
