This paper discusses how the practice of nursing and patient care delivery models has changed over the course of time and how it is presently undergoing an evolution.Within the first decade of the 21st century, a range of factors have primarily been responsible for bringing about changes in the environment within which nursing and patient care is provided (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2010).
