Introduction

McDonald's is the fastest moving chain in the fast food industry all over the globe. It was found on May 15, 1940 in San Bernardino, California. McDonald's is referred as the world's largest chain available in almost 118 countries. The Headquarter of the McDonald is situated in the United States and it began with a barbeque restaurant. The name “McDonald's” was first registered for the U.S trademark on date 4th May. 1961. The scrumptious products of McDonald's include hamburgers, sandwiches, French fries, desserts and breakfast. They ensure to extremely satisfy the taste buds of their customers exclusively. The most interesting feature in the outlets of McDonald's is that they have a built-in playroom for the kids which enforce the children to be a part of McDonald's. Happy meals are amongst the core competencies of McDonald's which makes the children smile and eat for the sake of an incredible toy present in that meal. It has appointed around 1.8 million employees for their franchises globally. They strive to improve their strategies and services along with their internal and external stakeholders.

I have chosen three different companies for the critical analysis on their codes of conducts which are as follows.

Burger King: It operates around 12,200 restaurants globally; almost ninety percent of their restaurants are operated by independent franchises (Burger king Corporation, 2012)

Code of Conducts: queries of the customers are to be handled as soon as possible without any delays

Non-discriminatory policies are to be practiced in order to maintain company's decorum

No employee is allowed to harass, abuse or threaten other employee

Hardees: it strives to provide fine dining to its customers in order to delight them with mouth watering burgers. It is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri initiated in 1960 (Hardee,2000)

Code of conduct: fair dealing

Working with honesty and integrity

Employees are strictly prohibited to disclose any confidentiality regarding property and services.

Dominos: It is known as the world's largest pizza company, delivering excellent quality in their products and services. It begins in the year 1985 with the aim to offer delicious taste to its customers (Carrigan &Pelsmacker, 2009)

Code of conducts: conflicts of interest are supposed to be avoided and treated as creating understanding amongst employees

Fair dealing

Reporting legal and unethical behavior

All the mentioned companies follow their own codes of conduct in order to maintain the decorum and peaceful environment within the premises. Code of ethics is essential to manage the employees to stay together with affection and understanding. Each of the company almost carries similar codes of ethics in order to create peace and respect in their organizations. Considering these ethics of world's largest brands further I will also propose few codes of ethics for my company.
