Commercial Space Travel

Around 30 years ago, on 12 April 1981, the development of space ships took place which was designed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by the United States. It was not like its predecessors such as Apollo that could have been reused. Till today, they have built five ferries which made a total of 114 missions. All the astronauts who have made their trips into space have used the spaceship Discovery 31 for their mission. The other ships which have been used quite frequently after Discovery 31 are Columbia, Atlantis, Endeavour and Challenger. The operations of Columbia spaceship started in 1981 but they ceased their operations in 2003. Atlantis had 26 flights, Endeavour was used in 19 missions, and the Challenger, which was one of the first spaceships, had an accident and was destroyed in 1986, carried out 10 missions. The reason why Columbia had to cease their operations in 2003 was due to the accident which killed all seven crew members in that journey. Similarly, the breakdowns of Discovery in July 2005 which left the Earth caused strong challenges to future missions. NASA even announced that in July 2010, they would launch the next mission with Discovery, plus it also prepared a second generation of ferries. (Elbert, 2008)

A laboratory that was selected by NASA to join the Mobile robotic mission had a title Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) which tried to clarify that life once existed on Mars. Rafael Navarro tried to have separate performance in the history of shuttle advances in science and technology experiments. They have made great strides in space issues that have served to build the International Space Station. Various new projects have been tested in space and have been used in orbit instruments designed for space research. Beyond the problems of the ships, it was seen that the release of tiles from the bottom of the ship occurred as a result of extreme heat during launch. This even proved to be one of the major causes of accident of 2003 and the same type of damage was even repaired by Discovery in 2005. One of the drawbacks is still operating with 70's technology. The missions even operated in 1981 and worked 25 years without any significant changes in technology. That is why NASA has scheduled a second generation. This new technology will bring man to the moon first and then to Mars. One of the major people in space industry, Navarro, said that by integrating technologies of the Apollo program, attempted to create new missions that would lift the shuttle spacecraft in orbit and would then be sent to the moon, manned by humans.
