Introduction

Cultural background and the area of origin has long been known for being the most influential factor in determining the behavior pattern as and the attitude of individuals, combined with their thinking pattern and the frame of reference. The following paragraphs seek to highlight and amplify the differences two individual, one from Greek background and the other from the aboriginal culture. Separate interviews have been created to get an exact idea about their perception of the culture combined with the impact of area of origin on the thinking pattern as well as behavior of individuals:

Background information of the interviewees

The first interviewee is from Greek background, named Casto, and has been living in Australia for the past ten years. Both the parents of Casto belong to Greece and have led major parts of their lives in Greece. Before moving to Australia, Casto was living with his parents in the same country and only moved to Australia in search of job (Adare, 2008). Casto is highly influenced by the Greek culture, which is also evident from his conduct and behavior. It should be noted that he is familiar with all the Greek norms and values and thus was the most suitable candidate for carrying out the interview.

The second interviewee, Adoni, has aboriginal background and has spend major part of her life in Australia, living initially with his parents and then moving separately, after completing his education. It should be note that his grandparents also used to live with them and it is due to the same reason that he got a clear chance of learning all the cultural values and norms, which are not known by most of the aboriginal individual these days. An interview with Adoni does not only reveal his knowledge and information about the culture but also revealed the impact of the same on the behavior of individuals. Interviewee's views on culture

According to Casto, Greek culture has its own specialty and a distinct image, which separates it from the rest of the world and assists the Greeks in maintaining their separate identity. He believes that certain Greek phenomenon, including the name and the stories of Greek Gods, are so well known that even individuals with no information about the concept have some idea about the Greek culture (Adare, 2008). In addition, there are other specialties of the culture, including the language, the specific traditions and the language that provides distinct identity to the Greek individuals and makes them proud of their area of origin (Ellyn and McGinnis, 2004). Thus, Casto beliefs that culture is the essential factor in determining the behavior and attitude of an individual, as the cultural values are deep rooted as well as well established in the mind of individual and also forma major part of identity.
