Methamphetamine addiction is often observed in youngsters, they usually start it voluntary and by the passage of time they become addicted to this drug and sometimes they even do not able to quit the intake of this drug(Cavan, 2000). This behavior intensely affects the functions of brains. Basically addiction is the disease of brain and it affects various capabilities of an addicted person including memory and learning and motivation towards quitting addiction of methamphetamine. Because addiction has different dimensions and it has so many disturbing impacts on the life of an individual, its treatment is not easy. The recovery process of methamphetamine addiction is very delicate. It is often seen that drug addicted people want to quit drug intake but they feel it impossible because they face many relapse during the recovery. Methamphetamine is the most commonly used drugs in the youngsters. It can be cheaply and easily manufactured with the ingredients which are easy to find. The effects of this drug are long lasting and chronic. Youngsters usually smoke, snort or inject it; intake of this drug causes the feeling of joy and relaxation. The effects of methamphetamine are long lasting and it takes a long time in recovery from its addiction. Numbers of problems are faced by the people during the recovery process which includes the intense craving of drug intake. People often starts drug intake during the treatment because of this drug craving (Cavan, 2000). The recovery from the drug addiction is completely possible; it only involves the strong support from non-using friends, family and also the strong will of the addicted person. The addicted person has to take his/her recovery process very positively and the spirit to recover completely from methamphetamine addiction. Regardless of all the recovery issues, if a person keep stuck at it, one day he will get success in quitting the drug addiction. One should keep in mind that relapse is very normal scenario during the recovery and it is considered as the part of recovery because a person cannot suddenly stop the drug intake. It is observed that relapse is highly occurred in case of methamphetamine addiction recovery (Moe, 2000).
