Introduction

Despite the fact that the dean or the principle is usually heading a school, the staff from the administrative functions of the institution take advantage through integration of values of educational leadership within their duties. Education leadership is related to the execution and development of thorough set of courses, which student face as a challenge while achieving utmost academic capacity. Furthermore, the educational leaders are required to be capable in managing the staff comprising of specialists, licensed professionals, teachers and a n administrative hierarchy in an effective manner. These leaders symbolize their institutions in their respective districts and states, and perform their duties narrowly with the school committees and parent organizations.

Faint-hearted people cannot bear the duties of educational leader, as due to the education reform demand in the United States has observed in past few decades, school leaders of dynamic potential are in need more than ever. The outline of the 2001 'No Child Left Behind Act' that is based on students' performance on pre-defined evaluations, expects schools to show yearly progress (Burns & Martin, 2010). Whereas it is the responsibility of the teachers to make sure that the standards that that state has classified as mandatory are learned by the students. Furthermore, it is the duty of the school administration to train the instructors in a way that the standards mandated by the state get executed properly. This paper discusses educational leadership in a holistic context and provides as comparison and contrast of different educational leadership theories that have existed since the evolution of educational leadership.

Thesis Statement:

A genuine educational leadership has many different viewpoints, which opens different directions towards leadership. Nevertheless, there is a point common aims the ability to lead, and that is to build capacity, polishing powers and achieve goals.

Discussion and Analysis

This ability to influence a group in order to successfully achieve the pre-defined goals, leads one to conclude that it is a work of great responsibility that comes with positively influencing people to work together enthusiastically in projects to establish completion goals with the objectives of the common good. On reviewing the literature on leadership, one can easily realize that most contributions of analysis, reflection and research are concerned with the figure of the leaders and their style leadership, both with the aim to understand how these people emerge within the dynamics of group, and this analysis tries to develop models capable of preparing to carry out training of leadership within organizations. The leader is taking a leading role, while the leadership is an organizational function that represents a fundamental and that is distributed over several roles.

When talking about leading the school and/or school leadership, depends on whether the emphasis in on the role or on the function, but this always makes reference to a set of skills that individuals express as part of their education.
