Introduction

Communication has a significant role for developing relationships and achieving desire goals. There are number of factors which affect the communication in negative or positive ways. It is a fact that the sexual orientation has been used as a tool to make the communication effective by individuals and corporations. This report will focus on role of sexual orientation in term of communication. It will scrutinize the role of sexual orientation in determining a negative or positive predicted outcome value during an initial interaction, and to test whether the predicted outcome value (POV) was related to anticipate communication behaviors.

The researchers have identified certain principles for effective interpersonal communication. It is very important for an individual to remain focus on the topic and provide relevant information. The fundamental requirements of the effective communication include correctness, completeness, clarity and gestures and posters of the communicators. The person who is addressing any given meeting need to provide complete information because if the information is not complete and contain ambiguity then the audiences will be confused and remained failed in understanding the underlying issue or topic. It will make the audience disengage (Jung et.al, 2004).

According to researchers, there are many barriers which affect the effectiveness of the communication such as physical distraction, linguistic issues, pre mature mindset and behavior of the communicator. The physical distraction includes noise from surroundings, noise by fans or any other appliance, issues in sound equipment and large distance between the communicators and audience. The linguistic issue means that the communicator does not have proper command over the language or the audience is not familiar with the language used by communicator.
