Effects of war

Introduction

This paper will be discussing the effects of war on an economy as well as in the media. War is one of the most prevalent things that can occur to a society, having lasting impacts on its citizens. Many times there is controversy within the nation as to whether or not a country should get involved in a war.

When war is imminent for a society to get involved in, sides can often be taken by its citizens who have definite opinions about the issue. Many take a strong stance in support of the military and in them being sent to the scene to fight. These people may have family members in the military or have been in the service themselves (Chalmers, 54). There are also those who feel that the country should stay neutral regarding other country's affairs or are strongly opposed to violence.

The War and Its Effects on the Economy

Economic conditions are established by the most powerful ones that cause the painful inequity, unnecessary suffering, terrible and unfair asymmetries that arouse hatred and thirst for rescue, that trigger the craving for revenge and with it the violence (Martin, 98).

Suddenly, the State and politicians acquire an aura of grandeur and glory as defenders of our freedom and our security guards, and it would go along with them and contain criticism. The Nation (ours, with a capital N) is adorned suddenly superhuman qualities, while the enemy is reduced to the status of wild animal to be ...
