The Egyptian pyramids can be identified as one of the most impressive and exceptional human structures ever built. These beautiful structures that are present in various locations in Egypt still captivate the attention of the current human civilization. These impressive architectural structures were using very basic tools and technology; however they are still present today. Scientists and researchers have spent an excessive amount of time regarding the building methods and the objectives for building these magnificent structures (Watson, 1987). The pyramids represent the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization, which had developed incredibly impressive social structures. These are not simple mausoleums built for the great emperors present in the Egyptian empire; rather these pyramids have a deep socio cultural significance. The shape and the architectural aspects of the pyramids give a representation of the ideological and the religious beliefs of the ancient Egyptian civilizations. The pyramids were initially built during the third dynasty, and Pyramid of Djoser is one of the earliest constructed pyramids. The pyramid of Khufu at Giza is still recognized as one of the greatest human structures ever built and is a part of the Seven Wonders of the World.

The primary reason why the pyramids were constructed at such as large scale was that the pharaohs wanted to symbolize the power of their respective kingdoms. The pharaohs believed that the pyramids should be a representation of their ultimate power and their ambitions. It is due to this reason that every pharaoh planned to have a larger and more impressive pyramid made for him. The reason why the Egyptians built these great pyramids is not only limited to the exhibition of power and influence of the Pharaohs, rather it also has a significant religious significance.
