Pyramids can be found in many parts of the world in a variety of contexts and functions (such as tombs, temples), from the remains in Egypt and Central America for modern reconstructions. When we think of the pyramids, however, there is no better example than in ancient Egypt, especially the pyramids of Giza. The term derives from the Greek pyramids pyramids, which means 'wheat cake'(Faulkner, 1998).
