Endocrinologist Medical Specialty

Introduction

Endocrinology is a medical field and the specialist of this field is called Endocrinologist. Endocrinologists are the special trained doctors. Hormones and Glands are vital chemicals of the human body as they control the overall system of the body. Endocrinology is complicated like a human body. There is a number of hormones and glands and with increases in the number of hormones and glands increases the job and kinds of an endocrinologist. A basic task of an endocrinologist is to diagnose and treat endocrinology, and other related disorders and mutations (Rubin 2008, p.82). The tasks of endocrinologist are wide as the controls of the hormones are wide in the human body. Hormones control the development, reproduction, metabolism, and growth. Humans' responses are also controlled by Hormones. The endocrine glands in the human body are parathyroid, thyroid, ovaries, pancreas, pituitary, testes, adrenal and hypothalamus.

Endocrinologist helps to restore the condition of the individual by controlling the imbalance situation of hormones within the body (Montori 2006, p.220).

Treatment Process

The process of treatment their patient is unique and it depends on each patient and his condition. For Example, the patients of diabetes are for life time or for a long time which may create a long term relationship between the patient and Endocrinologist. The relationship is a major part of a treatment, and in the case of the endocrinologists and patient's relationship has a significant impact on the treatment process. The involvement of endocrines is very common in any usual disease or disorder (Galan & Grazi 2011 p.139). These mutations of hormones can be caused because of different reason. The task of endocrinologist is to determine that whether the condition or illness is followed by a disease or it is just a difference among people. In order to determine the root causes of the disease, endocrinologist uses different treatment process. Such as, the high resolution medical, tissue sampling, blood analysis and body scanning, and bone density testing (Johnson 2010, p.112).

Types of Endocrinologist

Clinical Endocrinologist

The task of clinical endocrinologist is from a research perspective that how to research on patients and how can they treat patients in a better way (Montori 2006, p.220). This Clinical Endocrinologist practices their research and treatment by following the procedure that given below;

Understanding

Diagnosing

Treating

Clinical endocrinologists are diagnosing and treating the metabolic and endocrine disorders, such as diabetes management, diabetes, thyroid disorders, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, and obesity (Rubin 2008, p.82).

Neuro-endocrinologist

This type of endocrinologists is specialized in the medical surgery. They diagnose and treat the diseases that are only related to endocrine system but also related to the nervous system of a human being. The Neuroendocrinologists practice with the thyroid disorders and disorder of the pituitary gland and moos swing disorders (McCarthy 2007, p.98).

Pediatric Endocrinologist

Pediatric endocrinologists are the specialist and deal with the children' problem. They diagnose and treat the children who are suffering with the diseases of the endocrine system, for example, growth disorder and sexual development (Johnson 2010, p.112).
