Abstract

The primary objective of an Evidence-based Practice (EBP) is to utilize a wide range of research methods with the aim of gathering evidence in order to determine the effectiveness of a particular program. The entire EBP process is an integration and examination of the three critical processes - clinical expertise/expert opinion, external scientific evidence, and client/patient/caregiver perspectives. It is a tool that is commonly used to formulate sound social policies and programs.
