Human Impact on the Environment

Introduction

In this paper, we will be discussing the environmental issues surrounding the Canada. The threat to the ecosystem which we are discussing here relates to pollution, waste and deforestation in Canada. Since the onset of the industrial revolution, human activities have altered the atmospheric composition of the Earth, significantly impacting the terrestrial energy balance. The burning of fossil fuels has significantly increased the amount of particulate matter and concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs), most notably carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), into the atmosphere.

Waste

Waste is known as trash, rubbish, garbage, refuse, junk, litter, and these are known as unwanted or useless materials. In some places of Canada, the waste is deposited, without more, in landfills, rivers, seas or any other place nearby. With industrialization and development, the amount and variety of waste generated has increased tremendously. For several decades, they have followed by simply eliminating the discharge system. This was done even with the increasing amount of toxic chemicals we produce. In the fifties and sixties of our century was checking the serious implications for hygiene and health of people and the significant negative environmental impacts that waste disposal system has.

Pollution

Pollution can be defined as the phenomenon during which the waste material contaminates the environment. The fact that the causes of pollution and ways to prevent or reduce environmental pollution are quite an important part in the study of ecology, however, it is not all under investigation. With the advent of the industrial revolution in Canada, the negative human impact on the environment has been increasing exponentially. This industrial progress has led to a very serious problem. On our planet, all - soil, air and water are poisoned. Today, virtually all corners of the globe, with rare exceptions, it ...
