Introduction

The rate of violent crimes in United States has significantly gone up for the last three to four years due to the jump in the assault cases. The statistics made by Bureau of Justice indicated the elevated rate of assault victims from 19.3 per thousand persons to 22.5 per thousand in the previous year 2011 (Frieden, 2012). The increasing level of crime in the United States has put the people into much greater danger of being the victims of crimes today as compared to the past. Therefore, the study intends to highlight the increase in the violent crimes in the United States related to the child abuse. Children are suffering from the great epidemic of child abuse in United States. According to the statistics that every year more than six millions of children become the victim of child abuse. United States loss approximately five children every day only due to the child related abuse deaths (Child Heplp, 2013).

The study also attempts to signify the profiles of behavior that attributed in the violent activities as well as the preventive measures to curtail this overriding concern in the US. Moreover, the paper will also represent the role of victims in their victimization.

Discussion

The US Bureau of Justice Statistics shows the annual rate of national crime that the upward swing in the violence has been experienced in the year 2011. The elevated rate of child related violent crimes has been recorded over the past decade (Stebner, 2012). The child abuse is at the peak in the US which shows that twenty seven children under age of fifteen years die per week due to the child abuse. Moreover, the statistics revealed that United States has 2.4 annual deaths per hundred thousand children as compared to other industrialized country such as UK which experiences only 0.9 and Japan has only 1. The UNICEF released the statistics according to which more than twenty thousands of children in United States have been killed due to the child related abuse in their own homes. This figure is approximately four times more than the number of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanitan. This intense situation shows that United States has the worst ever record for the child related crimes in the industrialized world (Radford, 2011).

Child Abuse in the United States

The child abuse has been significantly increased for the long time which even leads towards the end of lives. It has become the common practice in the US where the children experience the frequent physical, emotional, sexual, and psychological, negligence, and the other injuries over the bodies of children.
