Process for Identifying Learning needs

Companies live in a dynamic market environment, surrounded by competitors. Ever-changing external environment require constant adjustment of internal company market requirements. Some employees are on the rise, while others are just beginning to flow into a new team, someone replaces a colleague on vacation. Very often the situation when the company realizes that there is a need for staff development, training sales staff training, but does not know what it is to teach the staff. Identification of learning needs is a technique that allows you to clearly define who and what the company should be taught. 

Learning needs tend to occur at the level of the organization, departments and individual employees. The subjects, revealing the need to develop the company's staff - is not only the leadership of the organization, but also the personnel manager (training manager), managers and employees. This method is appropriate to apply for the rapid identification of training needs of large groups of specialists in the professional category. The questionnaire should be designed in such a way as to clearly and adequately assess the training needs. Survey results should serve as a basis for determining who and what should be taught. 

From the above follow the requirements for the content of the form. It formulates the basic criteria for determining the necessary and real-world knowledge. In fact, the contents of the questionnaire should be no more than a list of questions intended program of study. Responses to the questionnaire will help to form homogeneous in terms of staff and the needs for training in this area.

Difference Between Data and Information

Data is the information presented in a particular sign system, and at a certain material medium for storage capacity, transmission, and reception and processing. Whereas, the information is the interpretation of the data. The raw data have no information. Only the interpretation and the position of a sense of connection generates information. The information is the data is accompanied by a semantic load, placed in some context, data, measured in any way the receiver of information (in the particular case, it may be a person, small group). As a general rule, information associated with a decrease in uncertainty of the current selection and the response to any given or implied by the question. (The fact that for some individuals (or one point of view) can be given for others it may well be information).

Knowledge and Knowledge Management

Knowledge is a set of information stored by experience or learning (a posteriori), or through introspection (a priori). In the broadest sense, it is the possession of multiple interrelated data which, when taken by themselves, have a lower quality value. For the Greek philosopher Plato, knowledge is necessarily true that (episteme).  The knowledge comes from sense perception, then comes to understanding and finally concludes on reason. It is said that knowledge is a relation between a subject and an object. The process of knowledge involves four elements: subject, object, operation and internal representation (the cognitive process).
