Introduction

Care givers are usually family members or friends who provide physical, practical and emotional care to the person with cancer. Caregivers can have a variety of responsibilities daily or as required, including providing support and encouragement, administer medication, help controlling the symptoms and side effects, coordinating medical appointments and provide transportation, help with nutritional needs and housework , and handle insurance issues, among others. these caregivers have a massive resposibilities on their shoulders and this has a huge impact on them. This research deals with the perceived mood, perceived health and perceived burden on the caregivers of the patients suffering from cancer.

Are objectives, questions, or hypotheses stated in the study? If so, identify them.

The caregiver plays an important role in helping and supporting the person with cancer. Situations vary in complexity, and it is difficult to describe one that applies to all cancer patients and their families. However, as the treatment and the disease they change, so will the role of the caregiver. The objective of the study is clearly stated as the article seek to present the quantitative measures of burden, mood state and health status of the Mexican American women caregivers who provided care for their family member suffering from cancer. There was no specific question or hypothesis which was stated clearly in the research study.

Are objectives, questions, or hypotheses appropriate and clearly stated? Provide a rationale.

The object of the research has been clearly stated. This topic has become of significant importance for research with the prominent increase in the rates of cancer patients among the Mexican America population. Not only does cancer has a profound impact on the patient but it also affects the caregiver of the patient suffering from cancer. It alters and modifies the health and mood of the care givers especially because this particular ethnicity has poor or low access to quality health care. This also creates burden on the family and the care giver of the cancer patient. This research has done a comparison amongst the care givers and the perceived mood, burden and health of the care givers. This research has tried to promote and appreciate the health care providers of the cancer patients and highlights the influence of acculturation and culture on the experience of the care giver women and their role related needs. The research has also provided certain guidance and directions for developing appropriate interventions for improving the health state of such culturally diverse care givers.

List the variables in this article, and identify the type of each variable (independent, dependent, or research variable or concept).

Dependent and independent variables are terms of the empirical sciences. Unlike deterministic dependencies the statistical dependencies are not deterministic coefficients, but by watching regression coefficients described. In a scientific experiment, a random variable control variable which is independent (and exogenous) variables, specifically altered by the experimenter and the effects of these manipulations on a measure, the dependent (also endogenous) measured ...
