Justification by Faith

“Justification by Faith Alone” Paul

What is already in the Old Testament frequently testified and confirmed in the New Testament in many places. Especially in Paul this statement is an essential part of his teaching clearly in the foreground. In Romans declares Paul not only the knowledge of human (Romans 7.18 a), but also his inability to improve this state of being self (Romans 7.18 b).

For Paul was not a minor, he could easily put aside, but he suffered. And so his self-knowledge culminates in the cry (Romans 7:24) So what Paul did in the face of this terrible dilemma of his human incompetence? - He turned his attention immediately all the more to the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 7, 25). Paul relies solely on the fact of revealed through the Lord Jesus Christ for the people accomplished work of salvation on the cross of Calvary. For therein is the righteousness that avails before God, from faith to faith: as it is written in Romans 1:17 and also because he has made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might be in it the righteousness which avails before God (2 Corinthians 5, 21).

This attitude expressed by Paul, the Bible calls "humility". This Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, by her Throw all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

That is humility of God to expect anything, however, by themselves, with other people or anything other powers.Paul was fully aware of his dependence on Christ and without Him was that he "absolutely nothing" to do that would be a "good work" can be called,... because God is in you both to will and the doing acts according to his good pleasure.

God works in His children all the best (Romans 8:37): the will and to do good works and ultimately overcoming.. This insight lies Paul say... and I'm the same in good faith, that he who began a good work in you, who will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

This is already evident that we can not by their own effort or ability, but entirely overcome by the force and the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. By faith in Him and the associated rebirth in Him, namely, the power of His Holy Spirit, through whom He lives and works in us. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world, and our faith is the victory that has overcome the world.

Justified by faith - not works of the law?

Paul writes:

For we hold it that a man is justified without the works of the law, through faith alone. (Romans 3:28). And, So you now behold, that man is justified by works, not by faith alone (James 2:24).

From the isolated consideration of these two points lead from many a contradiction within the Bible. Others see in it the necessity of specific works or contributions to the ...
