Abstract

Kinesiology is a vast subject and field which deal with the comprehensive study of how human body parts and its mechanics function in relation to different movement. In other words it is a science dealing with multiple disciplines like anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, psychomotor behavior. It also includes study of the social and cultural factors in the surrounding affecting Kinesiology (Chapman, 2011). All its discipline provides better understanding of how humans move and the causes of movement. Kinesiology is very helpful to many sports professional and medical practitioners in a sense that by understanding the mechanics of different movements they are able to develop exercises and movements that help in combating different muscular issues or injuries. Some of the major examples of professions that employ Kinesiology are that of athletic trainer who might use kinesiology for recovery of the injury, physical therapist may also use it help in the recovery of movements in the line of physiotherapy and a coach or trainers who is involved in teaching of different movement techniques to build muscles and strength. The aim of this report is to study and present in detail the mechanics of squatting and why it is important to study the Kinesiology of squatting for better practice in the field of health and sports.

Kinesiology plays an important parts in maintenance of the person's health and well being by providing better insight as to how different body muscles and parts function and move.

The importance of Kinesiology lies in the fact that it is beneficial for the health and well being of all those people who move and movement is the major part of human's life. An active and healthy human being is always on the move especially sportsmen and athletes who need to make some of the most difficult movement in their athletic activities. Some other people who can benefit from the field of kinesiology are those that are suffering from some chronic injury related to body mechanics or those who want to work towards the improvement of their overall health and condition of body mechanics and movements. Kinesiology is emerging as an important and dominant field in relation to the people who are interested in remaining fit and healthy. Since the baby boomers are getting old and aging, their main aim is to increase their life expectancy by improving the overall quality of life taking different approaches towards health improvement. Similarly kinesiologists have also gained importance due to the fact that people are now interested in alternative approaches and options towards dealing with body mechanics and injuries instead of depending upon surgical methods or medications that have side effects (Knudson, 2007).
