Introduction

What is the difference between management and leadership? It is a question which will be asked every now and then each person would have his own view. The biggest difference between managers and leaders is leaders know how to motivate people who work or follow, and this sets the standard for most other aspects of what they do. Leadership is also a part of management but, only management cannot be used to win hearts; leaders win hearts of their followers and make them do what they desire (Whalley, 2008).

Leadership and management plays a very important role in making the business reaches its milestone. Leadership and management role which are very important, includes formulating strategies, making business processes efficient, understanding the expectations of employees, making necessary changes before something negative occurs which hampers organizational success. In an organization which has believed in the ability of formal leaders, employees sense a relation and look towards the leaders for myriad things. During times when the firm undergoes drastic change, employees normally expect effective and efficient, trust, planning and decision-making that is effective and regular complements and communication which is proper and relevant. Also during these times when there is change, employees perceive leadership as a platform for concern, support, and commitment to their well-being and efficient working. The best way in which it can be summarize is that there is trust and firm believes between the leader and the rest of the existing team. The prevalence of this belief and trust brings hope for better performance in the future, making adaptation to drastic changes much easier (Siraj, 2007).

For many individuals, managers and leaders are terms often used in the same context, but unfortunately, they are not synonymous. For the purpose and objective of greatly and significantly understanding the accounts of management and leadership simultaneously and the synergetic outcomes it has, we shall discuss the entire phenomenon of the relationship that exists between the two major heads of the most widely practiced discipline around the globe.

With the evolution, of management and leadership that we see fit today, individuals and leading organizations look forward for organizations and their employees to come on both integrative bargaining, that is, a win-win situation.
