Introduction

The participation of the employees indicates a form of motivation and the empowerment and their participation leads towards the retention of staff and increasing the productivity overall. In the organization, the Employee Voice (EV) is achieved through both formal and informal mechanisms. Formal mechanisms represent the tools of communication that organizations (department of human resource). The examples of formal mechanisms are suggestion boxes and employee surveys in UK organizations. On the other hand, formal mechanism represents the mechanism of voice in which general conversation is taken place between employers and employees. The examples of informal mechanisms are employee feedback, email communication, meetings and social functions at the premises of internal organizations. The decision making can be influenced by the actions of employees such as absenteeism and turnover. There are certain organizations based on UK that promote the voice of employee through the participation based on financial views such as profit sharing opportunities and share ownership etc. Through trade unions, the consultative communities of an employee and the representation are also indicates the formal mechanism way in which employees are ensured and informed and provide them an opportunity to raise their voice regarding the decision making and ultimately if affects the employment. Internationally, the employee voice has its importance widely. The model of European is based on the communication related to an employee and consultation between the corporate management and employees in most of the organizations that based on UK (Wilkinson 2002, pp.1720-1730). Through the European Directive (1994), European Works Councils were introduced for the purpose to adjust these goals related to employee voice. Those employees are provided with opportunities and they are able to access at the seniority levels regarding the employers. There are some amendments that are required to improve the effectiveness for managing the legal compliance and employee voice in UK organizations.

The EV is the Employee Voice that refers to the employees' participation in the way of influencing the making of decision related to the corporate sector. In the employee voice situation, the employees are given a voice through means of formal and informal way for the purpose of improving the communication, minimizing the conflict among the employees and management level and to encourage the retention related to staff in UK organizations.
