Analysis

Changing idea of strategic thinking - Critical Analysis of “(Strategy is not) something that an organization has but something its members do” (Jarzabkowski et al, 2007)

Strategy is plan for action which mobilise the organisational members to mobilize, act and bring necessary changes. The actions need to be collected in order to generate outcome. The synergy and integration is one of the basic components which could lead to the profitable execution of the strategy. The strategic actions are done by the members of the organisations. The strategy of the organisation is depicted through the actions of its members (Jarzabkwoski, 2011, p.529)

Many different arguments have been made in the context of complex adaptive systems. The management of different organisations have diverse perspectives on the adaptive systems implementations. The rise in the practice approach in management has emerged due to the concern over the gap between what people have to do and what people actually do theories. The new way of strategic thinking takes managers in account and taking them to the next level which is empowering them with the strategic intents of the organisation and providing adaptive environment to prosper. Strategy is written words which need execution and it can only be done if the members are willing (Pidd, 2004, p.22).

Closed equilibrium systems are metaphor of the modern management thinking. In the early 19th century, the closed equilibrium system s was introduced. These closed equilibrium systems are combination of contemporary management thinking and traditional economics. These systems can be studied from the examples of a ball at a bottom of a bowl ...
