Managing Holistically
Introduction
Holistic view is that approach according to which all of the phenomenon create a holistic system that is subject of a kind of regularities and cannot be deduced from the knowledge of the regularities which govern their constituents. However, the whole cannot be reduced to the sum of its components. Philosophically, the theory of development is that according to which the world is an important feature of its “holistic” nature (Smuts). Therefore managing the system holistically absorbs all of the systematic approaches. Holistic management is the process of describing systematic thinking approaches in order to manage the resources which helps in improving overall system in developing 'strengthen outcomes' which enhance sustainability and improves life quality for the ones who use it. This holistic management gives a framework of decision making which provides help in ensuring that all the actions taken are socially, environmentally, economically sound in the long and short term time period. This study is explanation to the systematic approach of Sustaining Food Collaboration at Stanford Dining which is evaluated under the SSM and VSM methodologies. However, there have been many other operational aspects that are discussed in the study. Before discussing the core issue and functioning of the systematic approach while considering the Sustaining food collaboration in the study, a detailed explanation of these approaches is also explained in order to maintain the level of understanding.
Systematic Thinking
System thinking is based over the concept of 'the system' and was originally the theory of biological, which than was developed and expanded by the cybernetics and engineers. There are even trends in the social sciences such as economics and sociology, recently it has become a point to be considered in cognitive and critical science of thinking and computer science, and it also has the aim to ever broader generalizations like “general theory of system”. It is an approach for the development of models in order o promotes our understanding of the events, patterns of all of our behaviors that results in those events. However, more importantly, the underlying structures which are responsible for behavioral patterns.
Critical thinking
Critical thinking is that framework which reflects the practiced based philosophy and creative system thinking. The basic aim of this critical system thinking is enhancing the reflective proficiency of not only those who make decision and ...
