Leadership

The ability of an individual for to organize a group of people for achieving a common goal. It is a social influene process ion which the leader seeks fir the participation on volunatarily basis for subordinates in an effort to achieve their goals. Leadership is simply an ability in an individual having power and an ability to influence a group of people or the individial to work in order to achieve the common goal (Goetsch, 2010).

Leadership Style

Authoritarian

This style of leadership is characterized by the leader who makes all his or her decisions and passes the directives for the subordinates that are being expected for carrying these out under very close supervision. Thisstyle of leadership is based on an assumption that the leader knows every thing. The authoritatian leaders can be hostile, arrogant, egotistical and boastful. Despite of the fact that Authritarian leadership style can be situated well for such environments such as prison, miltary and also proper for directing beginning teachers in school setting because they are inexperience and thus try to need more direction. This style of leadershio suits best for the structured envrionment where the lives of the peoples are assets while the professionalism level is also not high (Hoel, 2010).

Democratic Style

This style of leadership focuses on the sensitivity and the relationshipm with the people in a group. The democratic leadership allows people to participate actively in a well established environment for having high level of the expertise. It also leads to the satisfaction and improved morale.

Charismatic Leadership

The charismatic leadership is based on the capability of the leader to behave and converse in a way that reaches follower in a way that motivates and inspires them.. This tpe of leaders build a group that emphasis on the clear vision and mission and separating it fro other groups. The focus on establishing the image of the group in specific in the m inds of their group members or their followers as being superior then all others (McCaffery, 2010).

Laissez Faire Style

The Laissez Faire Style of leadership is opposite to the Authoritarian style of leadership. People under this leadership are allowed freely to do any thing while there is absence of real leadership. There are no set goals and direction which leads to the lack in the confidence and the state of confusion in the leadership. This style of leadership has no pklace with the persons who are being motivated highly and also can work totally on the basis of wish. Suchy type of leadership exists and are approperiate in the place where there is nothing at stake.

Paternalistics Style of Leadership

The patenalistic leaders provides the complete emphasis on their followers. In return these leaders also recieves the complete loyality and trust from his people.
