Task 01- How current legislation and sector skills standards influence organisational policies and practices for promoting and maximising the rights of users of health and social care services

Introduction

In health services and social care setting, it is significant to have effective communication among the users and the staff. Therefore, the staffs of health and social care setting is required to establish a good communication skills in order to have effective communication. The policy of healthcare and social care to incorporate communication skills in the staff of health care setting, affects the services quality. It is the right of the health service user to have quality health care service (Carr, 2004, pp. 5-6).

Discussion

If the health care staff is required to obtain knowledge about the way of applying the professional communication skills for the effective environment of communication. The users will be provided with better services and moral supports. Since the users of social care services are morally and psychologically disturbed, it is their right to have psychological support of health care staff (Carr, 2004, pp. 5-6).

On the other hand, the planning and organization of the integrated system of interventions and social services rests with the local, regional authorities and the State in accordance with Legislative Decree. According to the principles of subsidiary, cooperation, effectiveness, efficiency and cost effectiveness, consistency, coverage financial and capital, liabilities and uniqueness of the administration, organizational autonomy and regulations of the local authorities are included in the planning and organization of services (Carr, 2004, pp. 5-6).

Local authorities, regions and the state, within their respective competencies, recognize and facilitate the role of non-profit organizations of social utility, cooperation agencies, associations and institutions of social promotion. Foundations and institutions of patronage, organizations voluntary bodies are responsible to recognize religious denominations with which the State has entered into covenants, agreements or arrangements in the sector in the planning, organization and management of the integrated system interventions and social services (Carr, 2004, pp. 5-6).

As active subjects in the design and implementation of concerted actions, the management and provision of services ensure that the public and non-profit organizations of social utility cooperate with agencies, voluntary organizations, associations and institutions of social promotion, foundations, institutions of patronage and other private entities (Carr, 2004, pp. 5-6).

Conclusion

The integrated system of interventions and social services have been among the objectives of heath care organizations, which include the promotion of social solidarity with the development of initiatives of persons, families, forms of self-help and reciprocity and solidarity organized. This law promotes the active participation of citizens, the contribution of organizations unions, associations and social protection of users to achieve institutional goals (Carr, 2004, pp. 5-6).
