ABSTRACT

Various data dissemination, power management, and routing protocols have been designed specifically for WSNs, in whcih the awareness of energy is a critical issue of designing the protocol. The major focus, though, has been provided to the protocols of routing that may be different on the basis of the architecture of network and application. This paper presents a study of the high-tech techniques of routing in WSNs, in which, challenges of design for routing protocols has been outlined initially in WSNs after a complete survey of dissimilar techniques of routing. In general, the techniques of routing are dicvided into 3 major classes on the basis of the underlying structure of the network: at location-based and hierarchical routing. In addition, these routing protocols are classified into coherent-based, QoS-based, negotiation-based, query-based, and multipath-based on the basis of operation of protocol. Trade of designs between communication and energy overhead savings have been studied in every paradigm of routing. We emphasize the performance issues and advantages of all techniques of routing as well. The research ends with possible areas of further research. To enhance the reliability of the research we have to pass on the data in more than one paths from node of source to sink node. The node at the source a node that gathers data by the devices for sensing that seraches nodes at its neighbor and delivers them a message; all nodes that are intermediated between them, which uses multi-hop communication to communicate the data, have the similar design as the source node. Whereas, Sink node is designed differently, it's a special node that serves as the destination, the receiver of message. If the same data is transmitted in multiple paths then resultantly there is an overload on the network. So it's essential to utilize technique of data splitting in protocol of multipath routing. In addition, in this study, for the associated challenge of overhead of packet traffic, energy consumption, and reliability management in multi-path routing of WSN we'll examine a new method that allows the tradeoff between the reliability and the traffic volume.

For addressing the issue of link/node failure in wireless sensor network, the study will provide a dynamic method of routing for communication between a base station and sensor nodes in WSN. In this method, failures of random individual nodes ...
