Introduction

Organizational structure and culture plays a significant role in any organization. Without the two core elements, no organization can work properly. The structure of an organization plays a critical role in determining how the organization is going to work about and stand erect, without any deformities at any point. Organizational culture on the other hand is also a very significant constituent of organizations. Often termed as the corporate culture, takes into account the culture that exists in any organization. It includes pointers like the orientation of people, the team management and structure, the output and outcome, the factors of innovation and any aggressive or troublesome issues that exist in an organization. The work incorporates two organizations from United Kingdom, Coca Cola and Pepsi, both top names in manufacturing soft drinks and juices. The work would discuss and analyse their organizational structure and corporate culture.

Discussion

Pepsi and Coca Cola are two giants in the world of manufacturing soft drinks. With their trade mark black soft drink, they have gripped the world with the phenomenal soft drinks that are produced by the names. The products are sold world wide and both are the biggest competitors of each other. Originally Coca Cola was the name in the world of soft drink with their product Coca Cola, but Pepsi emerged as the strongest competitor of the company and proved to be a tough competition.

Coca Cola

Coca Cola is a world famous brand in beverages that dates back to the year 1886. Coca Cola is not only the beverage company that manufactures the product, but distributes and markets it as well. The beverages are non alcoholic and were created in the year 1886 by a pharmacist. The name Coca Cola was given to it when its rights were purchased in the year 1889. Over the time Coca Cola has become a household name with over 400 products available in the market and around 200 countries listed as the ones who showcase the products and sell them in their market. The Coca Cola company itself only manufactures the syrup in concentrated form that is used to make the world famous cola drink and then is sent out to various manufacturing and bottling companies all over the world to dilute it, bottle it and ship it to the markets, creating a huge organizational structure that is rendered as one of the most successful ones in the world as well.

Coca Cola is also one of the most important organization is United Kingdom. Making its appearance in the region in the 1990 when the son of the owner of Coca Cola travelled to the region. The proper sales started in the year 1920 when it started selling in fridges and became a phenomenon in the region.
